A tornado ripped up trees and damaged houses last night near Ballymena, Co Antrim. The Met Office at Aldergrove confirmed the area had been hit by a tornado, and holidaymakers in the area reported seeing it as it twisted through the Ulster countryside. Nobody was hurt.
