Three teenagers injured in Cork knife brawl

Two male teenagers are being treated in hospital in Cork for stab wounds suffered during a brawl in the city last night.

Two male teenagers are being treated in hospital in Cork for stab wounds suffered during a brawl in the city last night.

One teenager is being treated for stab wounds to the chest and groin and is being treated in Cork University Hospital.  The other is being treated at the South Infirmary Hospital for a stab wound to the leg.

A third youth had a stab wound to the hand that did not require hospital treatment. It is understood the teenagers may have been celebrating Junior Certificate results.

A Garda spokeswoman said there were no other serious incidents reported in connection with the Junior Certificate results celebrations last night.
