Three staff stabbed in Co Mayo restaurant

Gardaí are today investigating the stabbing of three workers at a restaurant in Co Mayo.

Gardaí are today investigating the stabbing of three workers at a restaurant in Co Mayo.

The staff were attacked shortly after 10pm at a restaurant in the main square in Charlestown last night.

A Garda spokeswoman said the attackers fled the scene and were last seen travelling in four camper vans in the direction of Ballymote in Co Sligo.

The restaurant staff were taken to Mayo General Hospital for treatment, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers from Swinford Garda station are investigating.
