A row between travellers at a halting site in Kilnamanagh, Co Dublin resulted in three men being treated for stab wounds and another being arrested last night.

A Garda spokesman said "a general mellee" developed off the Belgard Road following a christening.

One of the three was detained at St James's Hospital for treatment for face wounds. His condition is not serious.

A 25 year old man was detained at Tallaght Garda station.
