Three Pakistani soldiers were killed today in an attack on an army convoy in the North Waziristan tribal region.
"A white coloured car hit the convoy and it appears to be a suicide attack," a military spokesman said.
Suicide attacks on the Pakistani military have been rare, even in tribal areas where the army has been fighting pro-Taliban tribesmen and al-Qaeda guerrillas since late 2003.
