Three die on the roads, one in fire

THREE people died in road accidents over the weekend. A man also died when a fire engulfed his caravan.

At Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, a pedestrian died after he was hit by a car at 1.30 a.m. on Sunday. He was Mr Ian Halligan (23), of Dunboyne, Co Meath.

In Galway, Mr Owen Fallon (18), of Kinvara died after his motorcycle collided with a car outside Kinvara on Saturday at 11 pm.

In Waterford, Ms Mary Walsh (70), Barrack Street, died after she was hit by a car while crossing the road at 8.45 p.m. on Saturday.

Mr Finbarr Fouhy (47), died when a fire broke out in the caravan where he lived alone at Ballycaskin, Carrignavar, Co Cork.
