Three arrested in Dublin over steroid find

Three men were arrested today over an alleged attempt to smuggle €400,000 worth of steroids into the country.

Three men were arrested today over an alleged attempt to smuggle €400,000 worth of steroids into the country.

A statement from the Revenue's Customs & Excise said an operation by customs officers at Dublin airport today resulted in the arrests of the three.

All three were were charged with evasion of VAT and the importation of a restricted medicine, the Revenue statement added.

They appeared in court today and were remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill court on Tuesday next, July 31st.

It is believed all three men are Pakistani nationals.
