Limerick Corporation staff are refusing to remove IRA slogans daubed on city walls because of threats and intimidation. A spokesman for the engineering department said yesterday their staff were threatened when they attempted to remove the slogans. Private contractors were then brought in do the work but they also gave up after being threatened.
