The president of the Methodist Church in Ireland, the Rev Kenneth Best, yesterday condemned death threats against those involved in the recent eviction at, and subsequent sale of, the 3,000 acre An Grianan estate in Co Donegal.

He described the threats as "immoral", and called for them to be withdrawn immediately.
