Cotabato - Kidnappers holding a Belgian missionary in the southern Philippines threatened to kill their hostage if the military approach their hideout, a local television station said yesterday.
Father Bernard Maeswas kidnapped at gunpoint yesterday while on his way to Marawi in the southern island of Mindanao. He had been celebrating the day before the release of the Irish priest, Mgr Desmond Hartford, taken hostage 11 days ago.
