A man who threatened to kill a garda and shoot his children while violently resisting arrest has been jailed for 12 months for public disorder.

Christopher Corr (35) was intoxicated and tried to punch, head-butt, bite and spit at gardaí during a fracas involving his partner. Corr, Sundale Avenue, Tallaght, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to violent disorder on Fleet Street, Temple Bar, on December 14th, 2007.
