Dublin-based e-learning company Thirdforce said today it narrowed its losses in the first half of the year and announced the acquisition of a UK-based company.

Post-tax losses narrowed from €702,000 in the first half of 2004 to €498,000 this year. Revenue dropped slightly from €5.8 million to €5.7 million in the first six months.

Thirdforce's latest acquisition is Creative Learning Media (CLM), an e-learning company specialising in the food, hospitality and healthcare industries.

The acquisition is part of Thirdforce's strategy of diversification into other products and markets.

Thirdforce has now acquired three companies - Electric Paper, AV Edge and CLM - and reiterated its desire for further deals.
