The Irish Times - Prof David McConnell

Prof David McConnell has been appointed a governor of The Irish Times Trust Limited and a director of The Irish Times Limited. Prof McConnell is Vice-Provost of Trinity College Dublin, and Professor of Genetics. The other governors are: Major T.B. McDowell (Dublin), chairman; Mr Donal Nevin (Dublin) and Mr James Walmsley (Dublin), who have been governors of the Trust since its foundation in 1974; Mr Don Reid (Dublin), also chairman of The Irish Times Limited; Mrs Esther McKee (Bangor); Prof Dervilla Donnelly (Dublin); and Mr Gerry Burns (Enniskillen).
