The famine in North Korea

Bernie Malone MEP was absent from Strasbourg for another reason: she was in North Korea with a fact-finding delegation organised by Trocaire. aire. Her impressions were of a country imploding, and of a military regime potentially capable of leaving its people to starve, rather than adjust. For this among other reasons, she believes, we have a responsibility to feed them. Among the places she visited was an orphanage outside Pyongyang, where these infants, and others, were barely surviving.
