Bangkok - A Swedish man has been jailed in Thailand for two years for having sex with a 12-year-old boy at a Thai beach resort, a court official said yesterday. He was arrested when the boy's mother told police her son had been seen with a foreigner. The boy was selling garlands on the beach.
The court official said the act of gross indecency occurred on the day the man arrived for a holiday with his wife and two children. Aged 45, he is the first Swede to be sentenced to jail for a paedophile offence in Thailand.
