A 17-year-old man is in a critical condition after a stabbing incident in Galway city last night.
He is believed to have received a serious head wound in the attack which took place in the Claddagh area of the city.
A man was arrested by gardaí in the vicinity of the attack and was taken to Mill Street Garda Station.
