A 16 year old Co Wicklow, girl is stable in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital after she was hit by a van which came up on a grass verge. Gillian Kingston, of Kilpedder, was walking with two friends near her home when she saw the van approaching. She pushed her friends out of the way but was hit herself. Gardai have questioned the driver.
