A teenager was recovering last night after a vicious assault left him with severe head injuries.
The 15-year-old was walking in the Shankill estate area of Lurgan, Co Armagh, with four friends late on Friday night when he was attacked.
Police said he was beaten about the head and face.
His friends, two male and two female, helped the boy home and police were called.
The PSNI has appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed it to come forward.
