A teenager was attacked by up to seven masked men in Co Derry las night.
The 19-year-old and another man were chased by an armed gang through Bracken Park in the Galliagh estate.
When the pair sought refuge in a shop, the victim was dragged outside and threatened with a gun.
The masked men then beat him, according to witnesses.
Both the attackers and the victim ran off, and police are continuing to search for both parties.
They have appealed for anybody who witnessed the incident to get in contact with them at Strand Road police station.
