Teenager (16) injured in Limerick shootings

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg in Limerick last night after a number of shootings were reported in the city.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg in Limerick last night after a number of shootings were reported in the city.

The shooting took place in the O'Malley Park area of Limerick at around 10pm. The teenager was brought to the Midwest Regional Hospital, and his injuries are not life threatening.

Two other shootings were reported at Cliona Park in Moyross and Hogan Avenue in Kileely, shortly after 3am.

No injuries were reported in these incidents.
