A teenage schoolgirl was found guilty yesterday of attacking an eight-year-old boy during a long-running feud between their families.

The boy’s head was “stamped” and kicked, the Dublin Children’s Court heard.

Judge John O’Neill said it was “a shame” the feud has now involved children.

“They are feuding with each other, they know their families are feuding with each other and it is terrible to have very young kids growing up in an atmosphere like that,” he said.

The 15-year-old schoolgirl had denied attacking the boy in Dublin last November.

The judge adjourned sentencing until November.
