Gardai in Limerick are continuing to question a man in his late teens following a gun attack at a house in O’Malley Park shortly before 6am yesterday morning.

During the attack a 27-year-old man escaped unharmed after he went downstairs to investigate the hurling of a rock through the front window. A masked gunman confronted the man who ran back upstairs.

He was pursued by the gunman and a shot was fired at him.

The gunman left the house and fired another shot through the bedroom window before fleeing the scene.

The teenager was arrested yesterday evening and a number of searches were also conducted in Limerick as part of the investigation.

The man is being detained at Roxboro Road Garda station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.
