Gardaí have arrested a teenager for questioning in connection with a crash in which a young man died. The stolen vehicle in which Mark Farrell was travelling crashed into the sea in Co Wexford last month.

Mark Farrell (19), Cushlawn Estate, Tallaght, was staying in the Courtown area when the CAR in which he was travelling with two others smashed through a wall at Courtown Harbour and entered the sea on June 15th.

Mr Farrell’s two companions managed to swim ashore but Mr Farrell, who was in the back of the vehicle, died.

Gardaí investigating the crash yesterday arrested a youth in his late teens in Gorey and brought him to Gorey Garda station for questioning. He was later released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
