Clerical staff in Teagasc, the agriculture and food development authority, are to escalate their industrial action from Monday next in a dispute over staffing levels.

The action will mean that staff at offices in Sligo, Kildalton, Kilkenny, Athenry, Co Galway, and Wexford will refuse to answer telephones. Staff at the Botanic Gardens, Dublin, will cease to receipt and lodge money.
