Two Fine Gael deputies last night welcomed the specific mention of prisoners in the report.
Mr Charles Flanagan and Ms Mary Flaherty, who recently visited republican prisoners in Britain, said that repatriation and re categorisation of prisoners and review of sentences were essential ingredients of an enhanced peace process.
