The Minister for Equality and Law Reform, Mr Taylor, is considering retiring from politics after this year's general election, reports Geraldine Kennedy. He has been considering his future for the past few weeks, but told The Irish Times last night that he had not yet made up his mind.

Mr Taylor was angered by newspaper reports yesterday that he was interested in emigrating to Israel when he retired. "The reference in a Sunday newspaper to my emigrating or considering emigrating is totally incorrect. I have no intention of doing so, no matter what decision I make", he said.
