The Irish Hotels Federation has welcomed the reduction in Corporation Tax and also the special allocation of £3.5 million towards special tourism projects.

"The incentives announced to facilitate the long-term unemployed re-entering the workplace are a measure to be welcomed, but the seasonality aspects of the tourism sector may have to receive special attention if this initiative is to be used to its fullest potential," said the IHF chief executive, Mr John Power.
