The father of murdered loyalist Billy Wright, shot dead inside the Maze prison in 1997, has accused the Taoiseach and the Government of pursuing a policy of "selectivity and discrimination" on issues of justice and equality in Northern Ireland by not meeting him to discuss his son's murder.

Mr David Wright was responding to Mr Ahern's decision to meet members of the Hamill family and to support calls for a public inquiry into the murder of Mr Robert Hamill, kicked to death by loyalists in Portadown two years ago.
