Talks begin on Packard package

Talks on the redundancy package for 800 Packard workers began in the Labour Relations Commission yesterday. The unions are seeking full adherence by the company to the Labour Court recommendation, which would cost £2 million more than the original company offer. They will also be seeking extra funding for the employees pension fund.
