Kabul - Afghanistan's ruling Taliban, which has banned all forms of entertainment in a bid to forge a pure Muslim state, is considering lifting a ban on television and use of the medium to promote Islam, an official said on yesterday. "The proposal was made by the Ministry of Information and Culture and is being thought about and is under consideration," he said.
