Sweet haul for chocolate raiders

A gang got away with a feast of chocolates in a raid at the weekend in Limerick

A gang got away with a feast of chocolates in a raid at the weekend in Limerick. More than 300 boxes of assorted chocolates and £5,000 worth of sweets and soft drinks were stolen from a container parked at the rear of a foodstore at Dublin Road, Castletroy.

Gardai at Henry Street believe the robbery was carried out between 11.15 p.m. on Saturday night and 9 a.m. the following morning.

Gardai have asked shopkeepers and the public to be on the alert, as they believe the gang may try to sell the goods over the Christmas period.
