London - The Monster Raving Loony leader, Screaming Lord Sutch, has offered to step down as head of Britain's most frequently defeated political party in a self-sacrificing effort to save the career of President Clinton.
As Loonies gathered for the party's annual conference yesterday, party chairman Mr Alan Hope disclosed that the former rock star was prepared to hand over the leadership in the event of the US President being forced from office. The White House was informed of the offer by fax.
