PSNI officers investigating the discovery of a suspicious object in north Belfast have declared it an elaborate hoax.

PSNI officers investigating the discovery of a suspicious object in north Belfast have declared it an elaborate hoax.

The object was discovered on the Ballygomartin Road near the junction of Forthriver Road early this morning.

Following an examination by Army Technical Officers the road has reopened and evacuated residents have been allowed back to their homes.
