ONE OF the largest surveys of cancer in women was initiated yesterday by the Caring About Women and Cancer programme. It brings together leading cancer experts, health-care professionals, academics and professional organisations from throughout Europe.
More than 10,000 women with breast and gynaecological cancers in 16 EU countries will be invited to participate by completing a questionnaire provided when they visit hospital. Interviews with doctors, families and national policy-makers will also be carried out.
