The RUC is testing a new undercover motorcycle ridden by a plainclothes officer and equipped with a video camera, for its safe driving campaign.
The camera records date, time and speed. If it is officially introduced, drivers will have an opportunity to view the tape at the roadside. It could then be used as part of a prosecution.
