Surrogate birth legal battle

London - The Dutch biological father of a British surrogate mother's newborn baby boy has begun a legal fight after she refused to give him up, legal sources said yesterday. After nine months of wrangling over the fate of the child, Mr Clemens Peeters has filed an application for access to the boy and plans to follow it with one for custody. The mother, Ms Karen Roche (32), faces a battle to keep the baby whom she has refused to give up since the birth eight days ago.
