JERUSALEM - A suicide bombing that killed an Israeli soldier in Lebanon yesterday raised border tensions amid speculation that Israel will launch an offensive against pro Iranian Hizbullah guerrillas.
The group carried out the attack only hours after the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr Shimon Peres, signalled that Israel was not eager to engage the guerrillas right away.
