Jakarta - The eldest daughter of former Indonesian president Suharto yesterday dismissed as false a statement by President Abdurrahman Wahid that her father is sitting on a $45 billion (£38 billion) fortune.
"It's not true that father has $45 billion, as stated by Gus Dur [Mr Wahid's nickname]," Ms Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana said. She was speaking after being questioned by prosecutors investigating alleged corruption by the former president.
