LONDON - Women who smoke beyond the eighth month of pregnancy are almost 50 per cent more likely to have breathless babies than nonsmoking mothers, new research concludes.
The study of more than 1,400 pregnant women in Bristol demonstrated a clear link between smoking during pregnancy and respiratory problems in infants.
