Jakarta - About 1,000 Indonesian student demonstrators, demanding prices be brought down, were blocked by security forces outside the gates to parliament yesterday. The students, who later dispersed peacefully, called for the President, Mr B.J. Habibie, to step down and for his predecessor, the former president, Gen ex-President Suharto, to be tried in court.
