Student nurses in fees protest

Student nurses held an all-night vigil in the grounds of the National University of Ireland Galway last night. They were protesting against the fact that nursing students are the only full-time students in State-funded colleges who must pay undergraduate tuition fees. Around 30 of the students have refused to pay their fees, the deadline for which is 5 p.m. today.
