Student grant rise `insulting'

The Progressive Democrats' spokeswoman on education has described as insulting the proposed 67p a week increase in student grants. Ms Helen Keogh said it raised serious questions as to the Government parties' commitment to increasing the number of students from disadvantaged areas entering third level education.
