REFUSE workers in South County Dublin voted 20 to one in favour of industrial action at a meeting last night. Their unions, the SIPTU and AGEMOU, are expected to serve notice for strike action from Friday, February 7th.

There are 66,000 households in the council's area and all will be affected by the dispute if it goes ahead. Refuse deliveries, from other areas to the Bohernabreena tiphead could also be affected.
