Banjul - Gambia's interior minister went on state radio yesterday to calm citizens sent into panic by shooting, as the authorities rounded up soldiers suspected of a weekend coup plot. The Interior Minister, Mr Ousman Badjie, said the gunfire was a minor episode in the aftermath of events two days ago, when a plot involving the officer in charge of security at the presidency was foiled.
