The jury in the trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of five men accused of a €2.28 million kidnap robbery has retired for the second night without reaching a verdict.

Judge Tony Hunt sent the jury home after the five men and six women spent the day deliberating their second session. One woman has been excused from further jury service due to a family illness. They also requested that they be allowed deliberate until 9pm today.
