THE following is a statement issued last night, on the death of Dr Noel Browne, by the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Desmond Connell: "It is with regret that I learn today of the death of Dr Noel Browne, former Minister for Health.
"I wish to pay tribute to his consistent concern for the poor and the suffering. I pray that God will now grant him the peace of eternal rest and I offer my sincere sympathy to his widow and to the members of his family."
