NEW YORK Producers of the Broadway hit musical Victor/Victoria have taken several insurance companies to court, claiming they reneged on a contract to pay for losses sustained when star Julie Andrews missed 36 performances. The companies claim Andrews was less than truthful when she filled out certain medical forms. "Specifically ... Ms Andrews misrepresented . . that she did not suffer from asthma and arthritis," they say. Lawyers for the show deny the allegations.
