The Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Margaret Bolster, carried out a post-mortem examination yesterday on the body of Mr Edward Waters, who died in a stabbing incident in Limerick on Monday night. The knife believed to have been used in the attack has been found and is undergoing examination.

Mr Waters (20), living with his girlfriend in Ballinacurra Weston, received fatal stab wounds to the head and abdomen. He was unemployed and the father of two children.

Two men, aged 17 and 20, were questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and later released by gardai. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
