A biker priest is to say a special Mass for motorcyclists tomorrow at 1pm at St Aengus Church, Burt, Co Donegal.
A keen biker for 17 years, Fr Gerard Sweeney said he had been urged by his biker friends to hold the blessing ceremony.
“I held a similar Mass for bikers when I was hospital chaplain in Omagh a few years back and there was a good turnout,” he said. Prayers will be said on the day for all bikers who have died on Irish roads in the past year. A collection will be taken up on the day for the local RNLI lifeboats.
