Actors, athletes and musicians last night supported the launch of a 100 km walk in the Cape region of South Africa to raise £125,000 for the accident emergency in unit of the Hospital

The South African Ambassador, Mr Pierre Dietrichsen, also attended the launch in the Mater Hospital, along with musicians Ronnie Drew and Frankie Gavin of De Dannan, and former rugby international Ollie Campbell. About 100 people, including members of the cast of Fair City, will take part in the walk from October 29th to November 9th.
